Hillary Nelson serves as Redeemer’s Youth Director. She joined the staff in 2018.
Hillary went to Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina, where she studied Youth and Family Ministry. Throughout her summers in college, Hillary worked at Luther Springs in Florida. Hillary lived in Columbia, South Carolina for a few years as she attended seminary there. In January 2017, she traveled to Israel and moved back to the Atlanta area.
Hillary was born and raised in Marietta, Georgia, where she was active with her Lutheran church and Southeastern Synod and ELCA youth events. She has two younger sisters. Hillary loves attending live concerts, cycling class, and traveling to new places. She is a die-hard Atlanta Braves fan. She enjoys sports, watching football, and playing fantasy football.
Hillary’s favorite passage of Scripture is Micah 6:8.
