David Hansen serves as Redeemer’s Director of Adult Choral Activities. He joined the staff in December 2001.
An Atlanta native, he began conducting while a student at Grady High School and has conducted for more than 40 years. He studied at Duke University, Georgia State University and Candler School of Theology of Emory University, though his most significant musical education has come through his long membership in the choruses of The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. As a musician, he has served on the staffs of Peachtree Road United Methodist Church and The Salvation Army. In addition to his duties at Redeemer, David is the assistant director of The Salvation Army William Booth Towers, a facility providing affordable housing for the elderly, handicapped and disabled.
David’s favorite passage of Scripture is Philippians 3:8-11.
