Lord’s Supper Retreat

This event is one of our Faith Stepping Stones, a series of classes that helps parents and our faith community fulfill the promises of baptism from Age 2 through Fifth Grade.

Children ages 4 and up are encouraged to attend, whether or not they have already started receiving communion in worship. Some families prefer for children to start taking communion as soon as they are old enough to swallow the elements. Some prefer to wait until their child has had communion instruction. Redeemer honors both approaches. As in baptism, communion is a sacrament in which we receive God’s grace regardless of our understanding, which we continue to learn about throughout our lives as our faith grows and matures.

• At least one parent/caregiver is required to attend with your child(ren)
• older siblings are welcome to come along and act as helpers or just for a refresher on the meaning of communion
• meet in the Fireside Room- at the back of the Mission House (near the playground gate).
• the blessing will be the next day during the 11:00 service- we will go over details of the blessing at the retreat, but please plan on attending both
