Kate Elkins serves as the Director of the Midtown Lutheran Preschool located at Redeemer. She joined the staff in 2013.
Kate has served as the preschool’s director since its inception, and she oversaw every aspect of the preschool’s design and implementation. She graduated from Furman University with a Masters in Early Childhood Education. She has a wide variety of experience in education (preschool and elementary; charter and traditional public; single and mixed gender).
Redeemer has been Kate’s home for 15 years. She has been active with youth and the outreach team. She met and married her husband, Jeff, here and they now raise their son, Jude, in this faith community. Kate’s other interests include spending time outdoors, cooking, reading, yoga, travel, and the arts.
Kate’s favorite passage of Scripture is John 15.
