Be a Circle of Welcome

Redeemer’s refugee partner Inspiritus is delighted to announce the long-anticipated resumption of their resettlement “Circle of Welcome” program in Atlanta.

The first two families, a Burmese family of 5, as well as a Congolese family of 7, arrived in May, and many more families will be coming throughout the Summer and Fall.

Redeemer has once again committed financial sponsorship to refugee families through our Community Engagement budget. To be matched with a family, however, Redeemer needs a chair (or co-chairs) and seven volunteers to form our Circle of Welcome team. Some volunteers have committed to join the Circle already, but we need leadership and a few more team members.

In the meantime, Inspiritus accepts donations of furniture and household supplies to prepare apartments for refugee arrivals, and seeks volunteers to greet new arrivals at the airport.

If you feel God’s call to join this fascinating and rewarding ministry to welcome the stranger, please contact Pastor Ron Bonner, Sarah Burke of Inspiritus, and Inspiritus Board and Redeemer Council Member Eli Flournoy.

A refugee family is waiting on us!
