Marriage and Parenting Ministry at Redeemer

married couple   family

Redeemer seeks to be a supportive environment for people of all ages and family types.  One of our Wellness and Small Group ministry goals is to provide resources & tools, and to build personal relationships around marriage and parenting issues.  In the months of September-April, we offer Sunday morning Small Groups at 9:30am in Room 121 off the Atrium, and look to continue to expand the ministry in Fall of 2011.  Contact: Amber ext. 239

Redeemer Digital Media Ministry
and Distance Learning

Did you know that one of the Digital Media Ministry Team's priorities is to provide online and distance learning opportunities to members and friends of Redeemer?  Thanks to two of our very dedicated volunteers, the following classes and small groups have been recorded and the audio and video files are all available on this website.  If you prefer to watch the videos on your television, you are welcome to check out DVDs of many of our class series from Redeemer's Library.

Senior ("Second Half") Ministry

Redeemer cares about people of all ages and at all stages of their lives.  As a part of our commitment to providing opportunities for learning, fellowship and spiritual growth, there are many programs and classes each month targeted at the 50+ age community.

The 731 Club is a fellowship group that meets almost each month of the year for a program and lunch.  The meetings are generally the 4th Tuesday of each month at 11 a.m.

Silver Belles is a group of single or widowed women that meet for lunch and service projects each month.

Early-Bird Bible Study meets nearly each Wednesday at 4:15 p.m. to allow those who would like to participate in learning and the Wednesday meal to beat the traffic in and get home before dark a Bible study opportunity.

Men's Coffee at the Towers On the first Monday of each month a group of Seniors from Redeemer and Lutheran Towers meet at 9:30 a.m. in the blue room of the Towers (on the 3rd Floor) for light refreshments, coffee and conversation.

There are various Intergenerational programs at Redeemer in which people of all ages interact...Some of these include:

Adult Sunday Bible Study, led by David Ott: 9:30 a.m.-10:45 a.m.

Men's Bible Study Breakfast meets each Monday at 7:00 a.m. for a light breakfast and study of the Word.  The class is regularly attended by our Senior Pastor, Tim Smith.

Special Events Redeemer regularly invites scholars and theologians to speak to and teach our congregation on Sundays and Wednesday evenings.  In the past, we've welcomed Mark Ellingson, Walter Bruggeman, and various leaders of churches worldwide.

For more information about "Second Half" Ministry at Redeemer, please contact David Ott.

The Redeemer Library
The Redeemer Library provides resources for all members of the congregation. The Library has resources for biblical studies, Lutheran history, small groups, religious periodicals and videos—for use both in the library and for checkout. Both children and adults will find something in the Redeemer Library, which is open during Sunday worship services and throughout the week.

The Library Committee oversees the operation of the Library and welcomes suggestions for resources to enhance Redeemer’s mission.
