Senior (“Second Half”) Ministry
Redeemer cares about people of all ages and at all stages of their lives. As a part of our commitment to providing opportunities for learning, fellowship and spiritual growth, there are many programs and classes each month targeted at the 50+ age community.
The 731 Club is a fellowship group that meets almost each month of the year for a program and lunch. The meetings are generally the 4th Tuesday of each month at 11 a.m.
Silver Belles is a group of single or widowed women that meet for lunch and service projects each month.
Early-Bird Bible Study meets nearly each Wednesday at 4:15 p.m. to allow those who would like to participate in learning and the Wednesday meal to beat the traffic in and get home before dark a Bible study opportunity.
Men’s Coffee at the Towers On the first Monday of each month a group of Seniors from Redeemer and Lutheran Towers meet at 9:30 a.m. in the blue room of the Towers (on the 3rd Floor) for light refreshments, coffee and conversation.
There are various Intergenerational programs at Redeemer in which people of all ages interact…Some of these include:
Adult Sunday Bible Study, led by David Ott: 9:30 a.m.-10:45 a.m.
Men’s Bible Study Breakfast meets each Monday at 7:00 a.m. for a light breakfast and study of the Word. The class is regularly attended by our Senior Pastor, Tim Smith.
Special Events Redeemer regularly invites scholars and theologians to speak to and teach our congregation on Sundays and Wednesday evenings. In the past, we’ve welcomed Mark Ellingson, Walter Bruggeman, and various leaders of churches worldwide.
