The Redeemer Foundation in 2009
What We Are
The Redeemer Foundation was established by Church Council to provide enduring support for Redeemer and its ministries. Since 2001, the Foundation’s Board has established a framework for members and friends of Redeemer to ensure that ministries continue beyond their lifetimes.
What We Do
The Foundation makes grants to Redeemer ministries using gifts from you either made during your lifetime or through your estate. You also can direct your gift to a particular use in the Church through the Foundation. Grants awarded in 2008 were:
• $1,500 to Project Interconnection, a Midtown organization which enabled them to replace bedding, sheets and other items damaged in the April 2008 at O’Hearn House, a facility for the homeless.
Our Mission
The Redeemer Foundation encourages members and friends of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer to leave a lasting legacy of financial support by providing a framework and education to assure that the work of the Church continues far into the future.
Our Vision
To assure Redeemer’s historic commitment to ministry, the Redeemer Foundation will contribute increasingly significant support to the programs of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer or its affiliated organizations; provide seed funding for new ministries; and fund building, property, and extraordinary maintenance needs of the Church through the generous Christian stewardship and lifetime giving of its donors.
